Hey, there! Here’s my What I Read This Month: March 2021 list.
In 2021, I set out to read a total of 40 books as reflected on my Goodreads account and my running list here.
As of today, I am 38% done with my 2021 Reading Challenge. I am five books ahead of schedule and I have completed a total of 15 books.
As you can tell, this wasn’t my “best” month. If you’ve checked out my other reading posts, you’ll know there were months I read ten plus novels. Of course, four books are better than zero books. Plus, the goal isn’t to read as much as you can; it is to enjoy what you are reading. If that requires a break, take the break! But if you’re interested in seeing what I read, check out my recap down below.
Author: J.K. Rowling
Published: September 2004
Pages: 870
Goodreads Average Rating: 4.50
My Thoughts: Side note, if you read my Hello, April 2021 blog post, you’ll know that I’ve never read the entire Harry Potter series. I read a couple of the books sporadically over the years, but I never read books 1-7. I’m trying to change that! I’m not even going to attempt to write a review for the iconic series. However, I will say that the fourth book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, will forever be the most superior.

My Thoughts: Similarly, you’ll see I have the same opinion about this Harry Potter book. With a “classic,” I’m not even going to attempt to write a review. Especially with how many times other people have read this series and have written their detailed analysis of what they liked and what they didn’t like. But I’m stoked I’ve officially finished the first six books. I only have one more book to read; I’m hoping I finish it in the next couple of months. Stay tuned to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on a future What I Read This Month post. Fun fact? I’m a Hufflepuff!
Author: Sara Kinninmont
Published: July 2019
Pages: 368
Goodreads Average Rating: 4.70
My Thoughts: This is not really a book, but Goodreads references it as a “diary.” While some of the entries are highly inappropriate and not relevant to me, I got some good inspiration for my bucket list. I’m hoping to publish a version of my list soon. Unless you plan on checking things off in the physical copy, I would recommend flipping through vs. reading it word for word like I did.
Author: Lucy Foley
Published: June 2020
Pages: 330
Goodreads Average Rating: 3.86
My Thoughts: I thoroughly enjoy crossing off book club picks. The Guest List was Reese Witherspoon’s June/July 2020 book. I forgot how much I love murder mysteries and this book helped bring that enjoyment back. The book left me with some unanswered questions, but I still thought it was a quality read. Was it the best book I’ve ever read? No. But I enjoyed the quick-paced nature of the story.
To wrap it up:
In conclusion, I read four books, 2,220 total pages, over the course of 31 days. There were some books I really enjoyed, but then there were some that were just “meh.” I’m excited to see where my What I Read This Month: April 2021 reading journey takes me. Let me know if you have any recommendations!

Happy reading!
